Subidas confortables.

Las dos subidas al piso panorámico se han rediseñado desde cero. En comparación con el predecesor del S 531 DT, son ahora sensiblemente más amplias y confortables. Detrás de la última fila de asientos se coloca el armario opcional.

A través del Coach MediaRouter (router para autocares) sus pasajeros podrán acceder con gran rapidez a Internet. Adicionalmente tiene la posibilidad de preparar y ofrecer contenidos digitales tales como películas, música e imágenes, a los que sus clientes podrán acceder vía sus teléfonos móviles inteligentes, tabletas, etc.

Máximo confort para el conductor.

Una línea clara y un manejo intuitivo son las señas de identidad de la cabina del S 531 DT1. Tanto para la elegante cabina de autocar de largo recorrido «Comfort» como para la cabina de autocar de largo recorrido opcional de gama alta «Comfort Plus», diseñada con énfasis en una calidad superlativa. En ambas, el confort y un diseño armónico se combinan con una ergonomía ejemplar.

Configuración libre de barreras, apta para PMR.

Para el servicio de largo recorrido, su TopClass S 531 DT puede equiparse también sin barreras acorde con la norma CEPE-R 107. El acceso posterior extra ancho (115 cm) y la rampa para sillas de ruedas permiten a los pasajeros con movilidad reducida acceder cómodamente al interior del autocar.

Su aseo luminoso y agradable, con un diseño nuevo y con gran sensación de valor, no tiene peldaños y permite el acceso sin barreras. Su moderna distribución diagonal y su altura interior aumentada proporcionan espacio y refuerzan el confort.

Personalización

La carrocera alemana además da mas rienda suelta a la creatividad y necesidad del operador, en donde esta disponible versiones para largo recorrido como lineas interurbanas. Dependiendo la disposición que se cree, este autocar podrá transportar hasta 93 pasajeros cómodamente.

Moderno concepto de seguridad.

Gracias a los ejemplares estándares de seguridad del S 531 DT, usted cuenta siempre con una protección excelente en sus recorridos. Los sistemas de asistencia al conductor de la última generación toman conciencia del entorno mejor que nunca, reaccionan de forma anticipatoria y, siempre que es posible, evitan plenamente que las situaciones de peligro lleguen a producirse. El moderno concepto de seguridad considera también a las personas que se encuentran fuera del vehículo.

Sideguard Assist.

El nuevo asistente de giro Sideguard Assist aumenta la seguridad de los usuarios vulnerables de la calzada advirtiendo al conductor de cualquier objeto móvil o inmóvil que se encuentre a la derecha del vehículo. El S 531 DT es el primer autocar del mundo en contar con el Sideguard Assist opcional a bordo.

 

Asistente de frenado de emergencia Active Brake Assist 4 (ABA 4).

El ABA 4 detecta ahora también a los peatones que se mueven ante el vehículo hasta una distancia de 80 metros y en prácticamente todas las situaciones de tráfico. En caso de que disminuya peligrosamente la distancia especificada y no pueda evitarse un accidente si no se modifica la conducción, el sistema alarma al conductor. Si este no reacciona, el sistema activa de forma autónoma la frenada necesaria para detener el vehículo.

La cuarta generación estará disponible a partir de segundo trimestre del 2018.

Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM).

El TPM (opcional) con indicador en el instrumento combinado hace que la comprobación de la presión de los neumáticos resulte muy cómoda. Además, advierte al conductor en caso de una temperatura excesiva o una presión insuficiente en los neumáticos. Con ello, el sistema ayuda a evitar daños y desgastes a los neumáticos, lo cual favorece la seguridad y la rentabilidad.

Asistente de atención (AtAs).

El Attention Assist (AtAs) puede detectar indicadores típicos del cansancio del conductor y le pide que haga un descanso. A través de un sensor, este sistema crea en los primeros minutos de la marcha un patrón de comportamiento del conductor que más tarde se compara constantemente con el comportamiento del volante en cada momento. Cuando es necesario, el sistema avisa al conductor mediante señales acústicas y visuales.

Costes de mantenimiento favorables.

Los costes de mantenimiento del modelo DT son sorprendentemente bajos. Cabe mencionar en este contexto los intervalos de servicio especialmente largos, el fácil acceso a los componentes a la hora de realizar tareas de mantenimiento, así como el sofisticado sistema desmontable para el tratamiento posterior de los gases de escape.


 

Una generación más el buque insignia de Setra ha vuelto, y lo ha hecho a lo grande. Sus años lo avalan, por lo que le auguramos unos años de éxitos y poder verlos algún día por la geografía española.

Daimler Buses can celebrate winning two awards for the Citaro hybrid, which made its debut at Europe’s largest bus trade show “Busworld Europe 2017”. The vehicle, which, along with its equally new electrohydraulic steering, has reduced its fuel consumption by up to 8.5 percent, was the winner of the “Grand Award Bus” and the “Safety Label”. The company Autocares Soto y Alonso de Burgos S.L., incorporates to its fleet two Tourismo 16 RHD / 2 Mercedes-Benz.

 

Autocares Soto y Alonso de Burgos S.L. acquires two Mercedes-Benz Tourismo 16 RHD / 2  with 12,98 m of length. The delivery took place at the facilities of EvoBus Ibérica, which belongs to the business unit “Daimler Buses” of Daimler GmbH.

Iñaki and Pedro Soto Padilla, owners of the company, and Antonio Conde, Mercedes-Benz Commercial Delegate, were present.

Automóviles Soto and Alonso de Burgos S.L. is a family business founded in 1937 in Poza de la Sal, which then moved to Burgos. Today run by the third generation, it is consolidated as one of the most prestigious companies of the city of Burgos for the service of transport of travelers.

New Citaros arrive in Spain (Part 2) The Ecological Blue.

Today we are going to talk about  something that we already introduced in this blog: 42 Mercedes Citaro C2 NGT buses, with a cost of 12.2 million euros. On the other hand, 40 Mercedes Citaro C2 G NGT have been acquired for an amount of 15.6 million euros.

The Municipal Transport Company (EMT) has also bought 46 Scania N-280 buses buid by Castrosua (“New City” model) for a total amount of 13.6 milion euros; 42 MAN Lion´s City buses with bodywork finished in Burillo, for an amount of 12 million euros; 17 MAN Lion´s City Hybrid buses, for an amount of 5.7 million euros and 13 Iveco Urvanway Hybrid buses, with a cost of 4.5 million euros.

In total, there are 82 Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses and 118 buses of the other brands. The EMT did not incorporate any new bus for 3 years. This is an ambitious plan between the public company and the city of Madrid to reduce the average age of the fleet to 6.7 years in 2019, reduce depreciation from 15 to 13 years and between 2017 and 2018 incorporate another 500 buses. The objective is that in 2019 the whole fleet will be “green”.

The new buses will be distributed by the five Operational Centers of the EMT (Sanchinarro, Fuencarral, Elipa, Entrevías and Carabanchel).

New gas engine M 936 G

The centerpiece of the new Citaro NGT is the Mercedes-Benz M 936 G natural gas engine. With a displacement of 7.7 liters, which is currently the most compact natural gas engine in its class, weighing only 747 kg, Including the precatalyst.

The natural gas engine is based on the state-of-the-art turbodiesel engine OM 936. The vertically installed six-cylinder in-line mono-fuel engine runs on compressed natural gas or biogas. It has a power of 222 kW (302 hp) at 2000 rpm while delivering a maximum torque of 1,200 Nm consistently from 1200 to 1600 rpm.

At the same time, the Mercedes-Benz natural gas engine sets a very high environmental acceptability bar because the CO2 emissions of a natural gas engine are up to 10% lower than those of a diesel engine.

The gas cylinder

Under the cover are the newly developed gas cylinders of the Citaro NGT. They are made using a composite material with plastic core, carbon fiber wrapping and, as a novelty, also fiberglass. This combination of materials is distinguished by its low weight and, at the same time, by its stability. In the standard version, the mouth to refuel gas cylinders is in the engine compartment of the bus.

The overweight of the Citaro NGT compared to the conventional model, due mainly to gas cylinders, is smaller compared to the predecessor model.

With the standard equipment, the Citaro NGT rigid bus can travel with 96 passengers, instead of 93 as before. The Citaro G NGT articulated bus can carry a maximum of 153 instead of 149 passengers.

The Mercedes Benz Citaro Euro VI incorporates numerous measures of fuel economy and emissions of exhaust, emphasizing among them the new common rail engines and the recovery module, that stores in super-capacitors the kinetic energy that is normally wasted in the phases Of deceleration.
This energy is then used for the phases of acceleration of the bus, which allows a great saving of fuel and reduction in 8.5% of the CO2 emissions with respect to its predecessor, the Euro V.
